Sprint Lease

Lease Phones

Leasing a phone is easy

  1. You choose the phone you want.
  2. You pay for your lease monthly.
  3. At the end of your lease, you can buy the phone, continue leasing it, or turn it in.

Getting started

We want to ensure a great leasing experience for you. If this is your first lease, there are a few items to keep in mind:

You'll need to return your device to Sprint

A lease is different in that Sprint owns the device. That means at the end of your lease you may either turn in your device in good working condition, or you can choose to purchase the device for the Purchase Option amount shown in your lease agreement. If your device is damaged, you can either apply any available Total Equipment Protection (if you are enrolled in the program), or you can choose to pay a Damaged Device Fee. The Damaged Device Fee will vary based on the type and extent of damage, ranging up to the total original value of the device. In many cases, the Damaged Device Fee will be lower than the purchase price shown in your lease agreement. But in any case, you can always choose to pay the Purchase Option amount and keep your device. To protect it, you may want to consider device insurance through the Total Equipment Protection program.

Getting the details is easy

End of lease

You have several options at the end of your lease:

Upgrade

Upgrade and turn in your old device.

Ready for something new? Perfect! Simply choose a new device and turn in your old device in good, working condition.

Purchase

Purchase the device and own it.

Love your device and want to keep it? No problem! You'll pay the Purchase Option price listed on your lease agreement. After that, you own it!

Visit a Sprint store to pay the Purchase Option price.

Monthly Lease

Continue with a month-to-month lease.

Not ready to make a decision? You can continue with a month-to-month lease. Don't worry! There's no commitment. You can choose another option when you're ready.

You don't need to do anything. Your lease will convert to month-to-month automatically.

Note: Your monthly payment may be different. Call *2 from your Sprint phone or 844-665-6327 to confirm your month-to-month lease price.

As your lease comes to an end, we'll make the process simple.

60 Days

Get organized

It's a good time to inspect your device. If you choose to trade up for the latest & greatest, you'll need to turn in your old device in good, working condition. If there is damage beyond normal wear, you could incur charges. We recommend scheduling a pre-inspection appointment at a Sprint store to review the device's condition and eliminate any end-of-lease surprises. If your device is damaged and you have device protection, you can file a claim.

Choose an option

With one month left, it's time to decide which option is best for you at the end of your lease. Check out your options above and determine what you'll need to do at the end of your lease.

What if my device is damaged?

Not to worry. We'll inspect your device when we get it and determine if it is in good, working condition. If your device is damaged or does not power on, you can either apply any available Total Equipment Protection (if you are enrolled in the program), or you can choose to pay a Damaged Device Fee. The Damaged Device Fee will vary based on the type and extent of damage, ranging up to the total original value of the device. In many cases, the Damaged Device Fee will be lower than the Purchase Option amount shown in your lease agreement. If the screen is damaged, the Damaged Device Fee will be equal to the amount it costs Sprint to fix it. In any case, you can always choose to pay the Purchase Option amount shown in your lease agreement and keep your device. You can also visit a Sprint Store, where a representative will evaluate your device and review your options.

What if I want to purchase my phone during the extended lease period (after lease term expires and you're paying month-to-month)?

If you want to purchase your phone during an extended lease period, the price of the phone will be equal to the fair market value of the phone at the time you choose to purchase it. The fair market value of the phone is the same as Sprint's Buyback Program price. Visit sprintbuyback.com and click "Eligible Devices" from the menu at the top of the page to learn more.

How is the Loyalty Service credit displayed on my bill?

The credit will be listed as a separate line item on your bill. Example: If you have a $20 lease payment and a $10 Loyalty Service Credit, these will be two separate line items.

How can I own the device at the end of my lease?

Visit a Sprint store and ask to pay the Purchase Option Price (listed on your lease agreement) and it's all yours. Any remaining lease payments will continue until the end of your lease term.
